Saturday, October 10, 2015 – On October 10, 2015, join the Scandinavian Trade Association (STA) for this public event to commemorate Leif Ericson’s Day Trade Association will promote Scandinavian businesses, culture and history through networking, food, fun and education. Wander back in time through the outdoors Viking Folk Life village, presented by Danelagh Productions. Witness the historical mead brewing, cloth spinning and dyeing, period costuming, Viking style combat demonstrations, storytelling, interactive games and music. Partake of guided tours, led by actor and comedian, Michael Norton. Local businesses, crafters and food vendors will be onsite to display and sell their wares. The outside event is open to the general public from 2:00 vendors. Make it a date for the whole family! Inside, join the and the Discovery of America. Hosting the 2nd annual event, the Scandinavian– 6:00 pm. Kids FREE K-12, adults $5 per person to visit the outside exhibits andJarl’s court, Shield Maidens and competing Viking factions for a feast to honor the return of trade missions and celebrating the harvest! There will be an exquisite Scandinavian Dinner and rousing, interactive stage show indoors for registered guests. Enjoy a full Viking ensemble cast, including an armored combat segment presented by Wyrd Brothers Productions! Due to limited seating, reservations are required for the dinner and show.
