OK, I admit it.  Like any professional speaker, I really do DIG it when thousands of people are sitting and listening to little 'ol me, BUT - based on my personal experience on both sides of the podium - audiences get a lot more out of a Keynote when they feel like they are a part of  what is happening.  "Mixing" things up by getting people involved - even up on their feet - keeps them alert, entertained and tuned-in!
